The start of 2017 was an exciting time here at Button. Last week, our very own Chris Maddern — Button Co-founder and Chief Product Officer — was chosen as part of Forbes’ 2017 “30 Under 30” series, representing in the Enterprise Tech category! If you haven’t seen the list, be sure and check it out; Forbes has highlighted a lot of amazing talent across the country.

If you’re part of the Button Marketplace or if you’ve ever tapped on a Button in one of our many partners, you’ve interacted with at least one of the products that Chris and our team have worked hard to create. If not, don’t fret — if you’re one of the many people that have contributed to the billions of dollars transferred on Venmo, then you’ve used one of the many products Chris has also had a hand in building (prior to Button Chris led the mobile engineering team over at the popular social payments platform).

The Forbes “30 Under 30” list features a number of talent spanning a range of categories including art/style, consumer tech, education, enterprise tech, food & drink, among others. And Chris is in good company with a stellar Enterprise Tech lineup, including talent from Dropbox, SpaceX, GitLab, and many others. It’s quite a process to be included in the list with more than 15,000 nominations at a four percent acceptance rate. An army of 50 expert staff reporters and editors research further and collaborate with 80 A-list judges in their respective categories (to drop a few names — Pete Cashmore, Jeff Lawson, John Collison, Marcus Samuelsson, Jason Derulo).
