It’s that time of year again to give, receive, and hack some holiday Christmas decorations! Here at Button, we’ve taken our Christmas lights to the next level by adding an Arduino microcontroller to make them light up in whatever patterns and colors we like!

But why stop there? We connected the tree to the internet and set it up to monitor Twitter for any mentions we get. So, when someone tweets at us, the tree lights up to let everyone in the office know someone is festively thinking about us!

If you want to check out the source code to see how you can build a tree like this for your office, you can find it here. In the meantime, show us some holiday spirit by tweeting something festive to us at @button!
