The summer is heating up in New York City, which means Fortune has released its annual Best Companies in NYC list. We’re pleased to announce that Button has been featured for the second year in a row as a top 25 place to work!

Over 137,000 employee surveys were considered for Fortune’s Best Companies list, focusing on questions about the organization’s’ culture, leadership, benefits and other factors crucial to an outstanding employee experience, proving that high performance businesses can also be friendly, collaborative workplaces.
As Fortune cites, “Best Workplaces in New York averaged year-over-year revenue growth of 24 percent, in part because 90 percent of their employees said they’re willing to give extra on the job.”
And it’s helped us grow — in fact, we’ve doubled our team in just the last year! According to Fortune, employees who described their organizations as friendly were four times more likely to give extra and five times more likely to say they’re proud to tell others where they work, which has helped us achieve this growth.
Considering the data, our entire company feels strongly about the friendly culture we’ve built. To call out a few highlights we’re proud of: We’ve recently formalized employee resource groups from “Women in Engineering” to “Queers at Button” and employees are encouraged to develop groups aligned with the unique needs of a diverse workforce. We’ve always covered 100% of healthcare, and now that includes a One Medical membership (an app for on-demand healthcare advice) and complimentary access to a nutritionist.
